Ulster Ballet Company Presents 'A Christmas Carol'

On Friday, December 6th through Sunday, December 8th, 2019, the Ulster Ballet Company (UBC) will present a unique rendition of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol,” at the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) in Kingston, NY. The Ulster Ballet Company is proud to be in its 25th season of this spectacular production, which has become a holiday tradition among Hudson Valley audiences. Featuring a cast of more than 60 dancers, actors and stage professionals from the Hudson Valley, the company presents this heartwarming and emotional tale of redemption through the use of narration and dance. With spectacular lighting and special effects, colorful costumes, and stunning set design, this classic production captures the rapt attention of audiences of all ages. “A Christmas Carol” boasts breathtaking backdrops designed and painted by Leslie Bender, a highly acclaimed local artist who has worked extensively with Ulster Ballet Company. Performance and Ticket Information: Friday, December 6th at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 7th at 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 8th at 2 p.m at UPAC, 601 Broadway, Kingston, New York. Ethnic foods available for lunch and take-out from 10:30-3. Crafts, baked goods, and pre-owned jewelry will be for sale. Vendors such as Scentsy, Pampered Chef, and Thirty-One will also be exhibiting. Church tours will be conducted at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. All are welcome to join us for Great Vespers at 3 p.m. 100% of the fair proceeds will be divided among the following organizations: The Lunch Box of Dutchess Outreach, Sparrow's Nest, and St. Basil Academy.

Candlelight Tours of Hill Hold Museum

Join the Friends of Hill Hold to celebrate a Classic Christmas with the annual candlelight tours of Hill Hold – the 1769 Historic Homestead of Thomas Bull. Every room in the charming stone house will be beautifully decorated for the holiday including the parlor with the traditional tree surrounded by an amazing collection of antique toys and the dining room set for a festive holiday meal. There will also be an open hearth cooking demonstration in the kitchen. Children can make a craft and visit with Santa (He can only join us on Saturdays) by the cozy fireplace in the basement kitchen and everyone can enjoy some yuletide treats. Pine Bush Community Tree Lighting
