The United States is the greatest country that has ever existed on the face of the earth. You don’t hear that often because some take it for granted and others want to deny it and to work to destroy this country.

In 1776 a few imperfect gentlemen got together and came up with a constitution and bill of rights that guaranteed that the people would be in charge and not some dictator or some elite few people. Once those documents were put in place slavery, for one thing, was doomed. Was the country perfect on day one or is it perfect now? Probably not but the means for people to make peaceful change still exists as it has for 200 years.

No country in history has brought so much freedom for so many people, not only in this country but in other countries as well. People risk their lives to come here legally, illegally, by any means possible. No one is leaving. New citizens know this better then anyone, often getting tears of joy as they swear allegiance to the U.S.A. If I could I would see that “America the Beautiful” sung by Ray Charles was played in our schools at least once a week.

This country can only be destroyed from within. I served as a United States Marine when Truman was president. I would have a hard time serving under a president Biden, someone controlled by the ultra left wing of his party and whose family is reputed to have gotten millions of dollars from the Chinese Communists.
