Area churches plan for Easter services

Hello New Windsor. This time of year is always so hectic for me and my wife with so many events and activities with my job, my wife’s busy job, as well as I coach baseball, and running the kids around to all of their activities and sports etc., that many nights I won’t get home until well after dinner. So usually I will just make myself something to eat when I get home. But one of those nights after a long day of work, followed by coaching baseball on a cold rainy evening I really didn’t feel like just making myself a sandwich, I wanted something hot and hearty.

So on the way home I stopped at a diner and ordered a quart of tomato rice soup. I was so looking forward to eating that soup on that cold and damp evening. But as I was taking the quart of soup out of the bag the bag ripped and the container of soup fell on the floor breaking. Most of the soup spilled out but I was able to rescue enough to still have an almost full bowl. But by the time I finished cleaning up all of the tomato rice soup that was on the floor my cherished bowl of soup wasn’t hot enough.

I put it in the microwave oven to heat it up. When that buzzer went off once again I was excited and couldn’t wait to eat my soup. Well I must have put it in for too long because when I took the bowl out of the microwave I was just using a paper towel as a pot holder but the soup was too hot and it burned my hand right through the paper towel causing me to drop my bowl of tomato rice all over the floor again.

I guess it was just was not meant to be for me to enjoy that hot hearty soup that night, and after once again cleaning up the mess, I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
