Bau: Faith Adams and Cali Gorevic

Posted

Main Gallery: Faith Adams | SWARM

Ceramics artist and returning BAU member, Faith Adams will be showing a series of 50+ wheel thrown porcelain plates and several tea sets. Her new work features a collection of screen printed and hand detailed insects; some admired and beloved, some feared and reviled. All have been imperiled by us. The insects featured are native or present in North America and most are deemed threatened or endangered.

The Beacon Room: Cali Gorevic

Cali Gorevic will be showing her favorite black and white photographs of trees, some new, some going back as far as 25 years, as well as several sculptures of her human trees. Cali’s exhibit is in her words is a reminder, “that trees clean our air, provide oxygen, provide housing materials, provide food, provide medicines, increase property values, cut air conditioning costs, provide shade and shelter, and heal (yes!), – these being just a few of their many attributes.”
