Brett “Red” Baisley, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, died Saturday, November 2, 2019. He was 71.

Son of the late Oscar and Edith (Crist) Baisley, he was born on February 4, 1948 in Newburgh.

Brett retired after 35 years of service with Gallagher Bus Service in Newburgh where he was known as the “Singing Bus Driver”. He was predeceased by his wife the late Laurie Perrott Baisley in 2013.

Survivors include a sister Glenna Rizzo of Middletown; four nephews, Donald Rehrey, Jr., Shawn Rehrey, John Lawless and William Lawless, Jr.; and two nieces, Eydie Mae Rehrey and Kelly Borelli.

In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a sister Joyce Rehrey.

Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, Newburgh.
