The City of Newburgh will host a Neighborhood Development Task Force Meeting to update stakeholders and the public about initiatives and opportunities surrounding code enforcement efforts, heating season programs, and housing laws.

The meeting will be Wednesday, November 13 and has two programs. A stakeholders meeting will be 2-3 p.m. at City Hall at 83 Broadway, followed by a Public Meeting at 6:30-8 p.m. at the Newburgh Free Library at 124 Grand Street. The Stakeholders Meeting is pertinent for people who work in the housing and development fields, non-profits, and community agencies. The Public Meeting is ideal for the public to learn about opportunities available to them and will include a presentation about housing laws.

The Public Meeting portion will feature a presentation and discussion with representatives from Legal Services of the Hudson Valley about New York State housing laws and the implications of new legislation and significant changes that affect tenants.
