Come to a Halloween drive-in movie

Hello New Windsor. Recently our upstairs bathroom toilet at home was clogged so I was thinking one of the kids just flushed too much toilet paper down. I got the plunger out and starting plunging. No matter what I did I could not clear the clog. I immediately began to think that something that should not have been flushed probably was and it got stuck. I went to the most logical choice one of my four-year-old twins, Anthony, who is a tad mischievous and began interrogating him like I was the FBI going after a career mastermind criminal. He kept insisting that he only flushed toilet paper down. I plunged some more to no avail. Once again, I went back to Anthony and asked again but he did not give me a definitive answer
I asked Mattingly (age 9) and Gabriella (Anthony’s twin) but neither had any information. Either I was losing my touch as an interrogator or Anthony was innocent because he was not breaking. I went back to Gabriella to see if could get her to spill the beans on Anthony. She was a rule follower, she was always the one to behave as the boys were running wild in the house. But there was something about her story that just didn’t seem right. So, I kept prodding her to give up more information. Finally, she spilled the beans. She admitted to flushing a Chuck E Cheese game card which is hard like a credit card down the toilet because she was trying to keep it away from Anthony who wanted it. The game card which has points on it to play the arcade games at Chuck E Cheese must have been what was clogging the toilet.
The whole job took over an hour to remove the blockage, get the card out and then to reinstall the toilet. I made Gabriella watch the whole thing as the horrible smell filled the bathroom. Anthony wasn’t happy when I had to throw away the Chuck E Cheese card saying “but dad that card still has points on it!”

And end the evening with a socially distant safe costume parade with prizes, and a Drive In Halloween Movie where you can watch the “Addams Family” from the warmth of your car or on a lawn chair right outside of your car. For more information please call the Recreation Department at 565-7750.

Join the Town of New Windsor Recreation Department on Wednesday December 2 from 6 - 9 p.m. in the Community Center and learn how to make your own beautiful holiday wreath. Keep it for yourself or give it away as a gift, you will go home feeling good about what you created.
Why buy a wreath when you can have fun making your own? Bring your own pruners, and gloves if you have them. Social distancing will be in place for this class so space is extremely limited so sign up today! Price of class is $30 which is more affordable than buying a wreath from the store, and it will be a lot nicer.
