Democrats are right on the resolution

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s reprehensible conduct finally alarmed the GOP. This conduct warrants consequences. She was summoned to plead her case. Her phony contrition speech satisfied the House GOP caucus.  Greene’s meaningless mea culpa persuaded minority leader McCarthy to grant her absolution of all sins committed; forgiveness to a Qanon follower, “deep state” disciple, a devout conspiracy theorist who spews hateful and violent rhetoric. McCarthy went so far as to publicly imply the Republican Party’s tent has room for the likes of a Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Congresswoman Greene believes Democrats have secret cabals in all federal agencies intent on thwarting Republican initiatives. She said there was no plane crash at the Pentagon on 9/11. Her past social media posts supported the execution of prominent Democrats Obama and Pelosi. She called the mass-student shootings at Sandy Hook and Parkland staged events designed to help Democrats promote gun control legislation. McCarthy still irresponsibly assigned Greene to the education and labor committee. This woman should be light years removed from any matters pertaining to education.

The Democratically-controlled House took proper action. All Democrats along with eleven Republicans approved the resolution removing Greene from all committee assignments. This will isolate her somewhat and diminish her influence in shaping legislation.
