Distressed and disturbed

I am old.  Born in the depth of the Great Depression I remember World War II and the death of President Roosevelt.  I have lived all over this country.  I have been proud of our country with its struggles to better the lives of all its citizens no matter their race, religion, or ethnicity, a struggle that still goes on.  I have been deeply disappointed in several steps backward and being falsely dragged into unnecessary wars.  But I have been encouraged by the judgment of our people and good leadership to correct these problems.  Until now.

We are in the hands of a leader who is a failed businessman, a pathological liar, and a narcissist more interested in his own self than in the health and safety of the people of his nation.  Frankly, he is more to be pitied than hated.  But his issues are truly hurting us all.  And now, he has proposed for Supreme Court justice one who is on the record opposing affordable health care for all and the right of a woman to control her own body.  Twelve (12) senators of one of our political parties publicly swore that a candidate for the Supreme Court should not be considered during a presidential election year in order to block a nominee of the previous president.  All twelve have now gone back on their word and are doing a “rush to judgment” by considering the confirmation of a nominee smack before a presidential election.

I am sick of this dishonesty and hypocrisy.
