Newburgh Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at 197 First Street on June 17. The buiding was reportedly vacant.

Newburgh FD Car Four arrived smoke and fire showing,requested second alarm. Mutual Aid to scene, was provided by West Point-Ladder,Air Guard-Fast Team,Good Will FD-engine,Vails Gate-ladder.

Fire was seen on second floor and then roof,firefighters used hand lines to put out fire,Newburgh Ladder infront Vails Gate Ladder operated on South Miller St. City of newburgh Police and Mobile Life ALS was at scene. 

The fire is under investigation .
