Getting rid of fossil fuels

Joe Biden’s Executive orders aimed at getting rid of fossil fuels; coal, oil and gas will result in higher energy costs for all Americans. During the Presidential Debates Joe said he would phase out oil by 2025. His campaign later corrected the target to 2050. That’s a safe target since he and many others won’t be around to feel the impact.

People immediately think of gasoline, home heating oil and jet fuel. That’s only skimming the surface. Lots of products are derived from fossil fuels. How about that plastic toilet seat for starters? It’s estimated that over 6000 products are derived from coal, oil and gas.

Fibers such as rayon and nylon, clothing, cleansers, tools, plastics, sports equipment, safety gear, medicines, electronics, construction materials, home furnishings are just some examples. Some personal products include perfumes, nail polish, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant shaving crème and soap.

Currently America is energy independent allowing us to keep our energy costs low while also being able to export energy for the first time in 50 years. Older folks can remember the gasoline lines of the 70’s when the OPEC disrupted oil supplies resulting in a shortage necessitating gas stations selling gas on an odd/even day basis.

I guess this is part of Joe’s “America Last” Policy?
