Janet E Palumbo, 66, of New Windsor, died Friday October 23, 2020 at 4:39 p.m. She was at home surrounded by her husband, daughter and loved ones when our Lord called her home.
She was born July 24, 1954 in Manhattan New York to William and Joan Dawley. As a child she loved camping, fishing and outdoor activities. As she grew older she enjoyed dancing, music and a good party.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edward Palumbo, who she met at Bowling Time Lanes over 50 years ago. They fell in love and were married March 11, 1972 at St Thomas Church in Cornwall New York. She is also survived by her two children, her son William Palumbo and his wife Michele Palumbo; her daughter Dawn Palumbo Martin and her husband Edward Martin; four grandchildren Anthony L Bell, Sandra L Bell, Nicolas Palumbo, Jozalynn Palumbo; and her great granddaughter Paisley Bell Turk. Janet is also survived by her sister Susan Riglioni of Wallkill New York and she has many nieces and nephews.
Janet was a devoted and beloved wife and mother. She was a dog lover and was predeceased by her dog Snowy and Savannah and she leaves behind her beloved dog Sadie. Janet was a hard worker and throughout the years she worked at such places as star expansion and Co-op screw. She continued her education and became an office administrator for ETA and Finkelstein & Partners law offices.
Janet was diagnosed with a sick Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and retired from the workforce. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior and she now has the wings of an Angel.
Viewing will be held on Thursday October 29 from 4 p.m. To 7 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home in Newburgh New York. Services will be held Friday October 30 at Brooks Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
