Over the last few days I have heard President Trump frequently repeat the lie about how John McCain voted against repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, and that kept America from saving a fortune and having better health care for all. John McCain voted against repealing the Affordable Care Act because he knew there was no replacement and voting to repeal the act would take health insurance away from tens of millions of Americans. As a frail old man who knew he was dying of brain cancer, John McCain correctly cast a very important vote. John McCain will always be a hero to the millions he saved from suffering by voting to let them keep their health insurance.
