In commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the Allied Forces invasion of Normandy, France, commonly referred to as D-Day, the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, Inc. welcomed New York State Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor. Lt. Gov. Hochul met with Purple Heart recipients and other Hudson Valley-area veterans on June 6, and saluted their service to our nation.

Hochul also toured the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, which is slated to undergo a $10 million expansion in 2020 thanks to state funding secured by former Senator William Larkin and Governor Andrew Cuomo. The major renovations will include development of a new wing with interactive exhibits and enhanced galleries, improved pedestrian circulation, and additional public gathering space.
