Mildred J. Todd

Mildred J. Todd, a lifelong Newburgh resident, entered into rest on Friday, January 18, 2019. She was 83.

Daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Richmond) Sheehan, she was born on February 18, 1935 in Newburgh.

A parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, being outdoors and gardening and loved visiting both Cape Cod and Atlantic City.

Survivors include her sons Edward Lapinski and his wife Julie of the Town of Newburgh and Marc Lapinski of Queens; two stepdaughters, Sandy Sutton and Sherry Deyo, both of the Town of Newburgh; a sister Helen Kroll of the Town of Newburgh; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Christina, Richard, Connor and Thomas; three great grandchildren, Myah, Marykate, and Kim; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Harold W. Todd in 1992; a son Richard Lapinski; a stepson, Harry Todd; three brothers, Jerry, Thomas and James Sheehan; and one granddaughter, Kim.

Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, January 25, from 5  to 7 p.m.  at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh. A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 7 p.m.  with Fr. John Vondras officiating.

Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
