Can you imagine carrying your house everywhere you go!?

On Saturday, August 3 at 10 a.m, the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will be hosting a Weekend Nature Program all about Turtles! Join Environmental Educator Taylor Ouellette at the Museum’s Wildlife Education Center, located at 25 Boulevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson for fun morning program all about these ancient reptiles.

Meet some turtles up close and learn how to tell the difference between male and female turtles and between aquatic and terrestrial turtles, about basic turtle biology, and about their unique adaptations. According to Ouellette, “Similar to birds, many turtle species have a “homing instinct” that draws them back to the same location they were hatched when they start to mate.”

Enjoy free same day admission to the Wildlife Education Center after paid attendance to this program. Pre-registration is not required. This program is intended for ages 5 and up.

Admission: $8/Adults, $6/Children. Museum Members: $5/Adults-$3/Children.
