New Windsor’s derelict and indifferent council members

Posted

While Supervisor Green made errors in judgment, Councilwoman Mullarkey and Councilman Eric Lundstrom approved his mismanagement of the Town of New Windsor.

These council members do not protect the interests of the community because they have been indifferent to the bad judgement of George Green.

Consider the following reasons to replace them:

-Neither ever raised a question and always voted ‘yes’ to approve Green’s proposals

-Both approve the project that provided contaminated water to our homes and businesses.

-Green’s frequent and extended absences (now at 18 weeks) were never explained

-When asked about the federal grand jury investigation into New Windsor’s contract management of demolitions at Stewart Airport, they denied knowledge of it. Foiled documents proved the investigation exists.

-They demonstrate no accountability for our over development and accompanying traffic. When residents complain, they remain silent.

-Both support Green’s plan to bring a new county sewer plant to New Windsor shores of the Hudson. They are indifferent to the effects of the sewer and wastewater will bring from KJ and other municipalities.

These are examples of Malarkey’s and Lundstrom’s dereliction of duties. But the good news is that you can make smart choices on November 5, 2019. Energy, integrity and a commitment to do the right thing will characterize Supervisor Candidate George Meyers and his team. Cast your vote for his best choices: Kelly Allegra as Town Clerk, Sylvia Santiago and Stephen A. Bedetti for Town Council.

It’s time.
