Many 9-11 first responders live in our community. NYPD, FDNY, PAPD and many more.  We have the best America has to offer in terms of service and devotion to others. That is why it was particularly hurtful to learn that the federal government had decided to give COVID vaccines to the 9-11 mastermind and other terrorists being held at Guantanamo Bay.

There is no one alive today less deserving than those terrorists to get a vaccine.

We have seniors and first responders right here who still cannot get a shot yet we would reward terrorists? This makes no sense. Thankfully our Assemblyman Colin Schmitt agreed. He took action calling the federal government out. Speaking up for us. 

This stupid order was changed after the action was taken against this outrageous decision and now these terrorists will not be getting the vaccine. This is the way it should have been from the very beginning. 

Thank you Assemblyman Schmitt for being a voice of reason and sanity and for being a voice for our local heroes and first responders.
