Oscar “La Muñeca” Aguilar Herrera, of Newburgh passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020. He was 51.
He is the son of Crensencio Aguilar and Edith Herrera. He was born in La Noria Hidalgo, Puebla Mexico on February 14, 1970.

Oscar was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church and a member of LaFundacion Noria. He attended North Junior High and received his high school diploma from Newburgh Free Academy. Oscar was a profound chef at West Point Military Academy and a drummer in a local band.

Oscar was generous, he wanted the whole world to know his name and talent for cooking. He took his dreams to his grandparents’ homeland & built his dream home for his children to visit often.

Oscar is survived by his wife Alineth Garcia; children Natalie Calderon, Stephanie, Emily, Giovanni, Damaris, and Jayden Aguilar of Poughkeepsie and Newburgh, NY; siblings Ignacio Aguilar of Texas, George Aguilar of Kingston, NY, Maritza, Carlos, and Alonzo Aguilar of Saugerties, NY, Esperanza Aguilar of Maryland and Violeta Aguilar of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren Uriel, and Alexis Aquino, Daniel, and Julissa Hernandez, Benjamin, and Abraham Olmedo.

Oscar is predeceased by Carmen Gonzales, Hilberto Herrera, Kevin and Christian Aguilar.
