I am outraged! The President is talking about eliminating the “payroll tax.” THAT IS NOT A TAX!!! It is a FICA, a “Federal INSURANCE Contribution Act.” These insurance payments come back to us as Social Security and Medicare. When the time comes to receive Social Security and Medicare there will be no available funds. Therefore, they will have to say, “Sorry, we just can’t pay what we promised.”

Millions depend on these in retirement. They are the ultimate safety net. People will starve, become homeless, and won’t be able to get medical care.

Meanwhile, the tax cuts for the very rich and corporations are enriching the already rich. I would love to be wrong. But I fear for those who will suffer.
