Come join us on an approximately seven-mile exploration of Rainbow Falls Footpath and a few historic carriage roads in Minnewaska. Starting from the Awosting Parking Area, we will start our day by walking along the Lower Awosting Carriage Road to the intersection with Rainbow Falls Footpath. From here, we will traverse this rocky footpath to Upper Awosting Carriage Road. From the intersection with Upper Awosting, we will continue northeast along this trail to Lake Minnewaska, where we will continue along the Lake Minnewaska Carriage Road to reach Sunset Carriage Road, which we’ll follow to our starting point. The footpath section of this hike includes some rocky areas, uneven footing, a stream crossing and a short rock scramble. Meet at the Awosting Parking Area.
