Republican silence means complicity

Where is the condemnation from County Executive and Trump delegate Neuhaus? Where is the condemnation from County Legislative leader Brescia? Where is the condemnation from all the other republicans in public office in Orange County when it comes to all the mass killings of innocent lives because republicans fail to act on gun control? Are you waiting for something to happen here before you act?

Their silence, like the silence from republicans in Washington, makes them complicit in hate crimes being stoked by trump. Enough of the thoughts and prayers. It’s not about mental illness or video games. If you can’t make a difference to save lives, you shouldn’t be in public office. If you don’t have the courage to stand up for the truth and what is right, you should not be in public office. A true leader is one who makes the tough decisions when required. Not to cower.

I remember a Republican party that stood for many things; rule of law; protecting our democracy; the debt; the deficit; security, etc. Today, Republicans have allowed this president to trample on the Constitution at will and attack our intelligence community, DOJ, FBI, Media and you stay silent. Praising murderous dictators like Putin, Kim, Erdogan. Silence. Today they stand for nothing they used to stand for.
