Robert W. Todd, a lifelong Newburgh resident, beloved husband, Dad, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Uncle, passed away unexpectedly, at home, on January 14, 2019. He was 81.
Son of the late William Todd and Margaret (Fullerton) Brooks he was born on November 12, 1937 in Newburgh, NY.
Robert was a devoted member of the Carpenters Union, Local 279, and retired with 50 years of service. He was a life member of both the Walden Sportsmen Club and the Blackrock Fish and Game Club, and enjoyed camping and hunting in the Adirondacks.
Robert leaves behind countless memories to be cherished by his wife, Elke of 60 years. He is also survived by his children, Debra (George) Becker of Sparrowbush, Susan (Stephen) Costello of Cornwall and Robert O. (Mary) Todd of Newburgh; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a sister, Lynn Coykendall of AZ and a brother Richard Todd of AZ, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Dunning.
Plans for a Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
A private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
