The Royal Air Force Red Arrows will perform at the 2019 New York International Air Show, August 24-25, at New York Stewart International Airport.

They will join the U.S. Navy Blue Angels in headlining the event that will also feature the Northeast debut of the U.S. Air Force F-35 Lightning II Demo Team.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, are coming to North America for the first time in over a decade. They are one of the world’s premier aerobatic display teams, representing the speed, agility and precision of the Royal Air Force. They assist in recruiting to the Armed Forces, act as ambassadors for the United Kingdom at home and overseas and promote the best of British.
“What an honor to host the Red Arrows and the Royal Air Force,” said Bryan Lilley, Chairman of the New York International Air Show. “This is the third international jet team we’ve hosted in the five year history of the event, so we feel it’s time to brand the show with ‘International’ in its title.”

“The New York Air Show has been a tremendous success since we brought it back to Orange County in 2015,” said Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus. “The addition of the Royal Air Force Red Arrows to an already impressive lineup is a testament to that. This will be the biggest New York Air Show ever and we are eager and excited to host this event with our partners, the Port Authority and B. Lilley Productions.”

The show will also feature an array of military aircraft on static display an A-10 Warthog, C-130 Hercules, C-17 Globemaster III, Thunderbird F-16 Viper, F-15 Eagle and UH-72 Lakota helicopter.
On Thursday, two days before the show, the Red Arrows, the Blue Angels and the F-35 Lightning II Demo Team will be joined by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds in a historic 4 team, 24 jet formation flight down the Hudson River and over the Statue of Liberty at approximately 9:30 a.m. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the Rochester International Air Show on the same weekend and are joining the Hudson Flight en route.

The Hudson Flight will fly south to New York Harbor where the formations will all make a sweeping right turn and the proceed back up the river for a second pass. They will make a pass over West Point prior to landing back at Stewart.

Tickets for either day start at $29.75 for adults and $18.75 for children under the age of 12. Gates open at 9 a.m. on the day of the show.
