“And music was the cornerstone” You are musically invited to attend a concert that will make your heart shine, a concert celebrating the 128th anniversary of Carnegie Hall and honoring its architect, William Burnet Tuthill, on Sunday, May 5, at 3 p.m., at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 105 Grand Street, Newburgh.

The concert includes music composed by Tuthill’s son, Burnet Corwin Tuthill. All proceeds benefit St. George’s cemetery, the final resting place of William Burnet Tuthill and his wife, Newburgh native, Henrietta Corwin Tuthill.

Tickets will be sold at the door: $15 for students; $10 for seniors (65+). A reception will follow and all are invited.

St. Patrick’s-Our Lady of the Lake Chapel will host its parish Seder on Wednesday, April 17, in the School Gym beginning at 7 p.m. This is a full Seder, like the one Jesus would experience on the first night of Passover. Come and experience this tradition with your Parish family and friends and sing and pray, and eat special foods.

The cost is $15 per person. Tickets are available at the Rectory; for further information call 561-0885.

Mid-Hudson Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club invites you to join them on Saturday, April 14, for an easy 3.5 miles family-friendly hike/walk on scenic Hudson’s Falling Waters Preserve (FWP) and Saugerties Lighthouse Trail. You will start at Noon at FWP and then go by your own car to the Lighthouse Trail that is 8 minutes away. You can eat lunch on the Lighthouse deck in the middle of the river. This event appeals to walkers and hikers of all skill levels. Some hills and a few tricky spots along the Hudson River shoreline can be avoided. Bring food and water, and binoculars, if you have them.

Meet at FWP, Dominican Lane, in Saugerties. Driving directions: Off Route 9W or Route 32 south of Saugerties, follow Main St. in Glasco to Delaware and York. For GPS: 45 York St. Saugerties 12477 will put you near the entrance, where there is a sign. Confirm with leader CarlaBarrett: barrettinclinton@gmail.comor cell: (315) 527-8478.

May you always have an angel at your side.
