Assemblyman Colin J. Schmitt (R,C,I-New Windsor) today announced over $2 million in funding for local town and village road and infrastructure priorities in the 99th Assembly District.

The funding includings CHIPs (Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program), PAVE-NY and Extreme Winter Recovery (EWR) Funding.

Locally, the Town of New Windsor will receive $201,444.47 in CHIPS funding, $45,981.70 from PAVE-NY and $37,309.67 from the EWR program.

“Funding our local roads and infrastructure is a top priority for me,”Schmitt said. That is why I fought so hard to bring millions of dollars in funding back to our district. These funds are essential for our towns and villages to ensure maintenance of the roadways and infrastructure we use most often. This is my second year bringing back this critical funding to our district and I will always fight to make sure our communities are represented in Albany and we receive our fair share of funding. I am proud to have yet again successfully partnered in bipartisan fashion with local leaders and highway departments to advocate for our local funding priorities and will continue to do so.”
