Shooting reported on Roe Street

On Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at approximately 6:42 p.m., the City of Newburgh Police Department responded to a Shot Spotter notification for the area of 32 Roe Street. Upon arrival officers found a man in his late twenties sitting inside of a vehicle and he had been shot several times. Officers began life saving measures and he was eventually transported to a nearby hospital. From there he was transported to a hospital in Westchester County where he is listed in critical condition. The victim’s name is being withheld at this time.

This incident is under active investigation and no further information will released at this time. Police are asking anyone with any information about this incident to contact the police department at (845)561-3131.
