Freehill to Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. The Attempted Murder charge was in connection with the shooting of a man in the City of Newburgh, on October 9 in the vicinity of 129 William Street. Pursuant to the agreement placed on the record at the time Discua pleaded guilty, the District Attorney’s office will recommend eighteen years in state prison on the charge of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, and a concurrent sentence of ten years in state prison on the weapons charge when he is sentenced on January 30, 2020.
