Tastefully British meal

For almost 25 years, Grace Episcopal Church has developed a large and loyal following of people who seek out their annual British Fish & Chips meal offered during their annual Crafte Faire.

“We always have such a great response it seemed like it would be a good idea to offer the same Fish & Chips during Lent as a Friday night dinner fundraiser,” said Eileen Barrett, coordinator for the event, “Folks can dine in the fellowship hall, or pick-up take-out meals to bring home and enjoy.”

Grace Church’s first Lenten British Fish & Chips Dinner will be held on Friday, March 29 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Each meal includes homemade coleslaw, fresh “chips” (thick-cut fries), crispy, authentic British style fish filets, dessert and beverages. “It’s a wonderful, hearty meal” said Barrett, “and it’s a great opportunity for folks to discover what our Crafte Faire guests return for every year!” Each meal is priced at $15, and $12 for children age 12 and under (credit cards welcome). All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the construction of an accessibility ramp to the parish house (which is where the Guild of St. Margaret Soup Kitchen is located).

The Fish and Chips dinner will take place in the parish house of Grace Episcopal Church at 12 Depot Street, Middletown. There is plenty of free parking in the municipal lots adjacent to the church. Guests may dine in, or take-out their dinners.
