Telescope Use Workshop to be Conducted by Local Astronomers
On Tuesday Feb. 18 the Mid Hudson Astronomical Association will conduct a free telescope workshop at 8 PM in room 181 of Science Hall at SUNY New Paltz. The workshop is for those who may have a telescope and are interested in learning how to use it or for those who either have telescope experience or are interested in purchasing a telescope. The workshop will be held after the regular meeting of the MHAA at 7:30.
Those who attend are encouraged to bring their scopes along if they wish either before the regular business meeting at 7:30 or during the meeting.
The workshop will consist of an introduction to telescopes and a general user information session followed by a hands-on session where participants will be practicing with their own or with club telescopes. All those who become official members of the MHAA will have an opportunity to borrow a club scope in the future when authorized.
