Town of Newburgh Small Business owners have joined Deputy Supervisor Scott Manley and Town Councilman Anthony LoBiondo to plan a socially distant “Fall Into Local Festival” on Saturday October 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Newburgh Vintage Emporium parking lot, 5006 Route 9W, said Deputy Supervisory Manley.  
“The purpose of the event is to support and showcase local Town of Newburgh businesses,” said LoBiondo, a Town Councilman and local attorney.  While not an official Town of Newburgh event, the Town supports the Festival and is highlighting local small businesses, said LoBiondo.
The Newburgh Vintage Emporium is among the Hudson Valley’s top destinations for antiques, vintage furnishings, vintage clothing, home goods, local artisan goods, and vinyl records, with over 120 vendors and more than 50,000 square feet at its two stores.  The parking lot at the Route 9W store will be the site of the socially distant Festival, located near the entrance to the Newburgh Beacon Bridge.
There will be a “Welcome” table, staffed by Manley and LoBiondo.  The following small businesses and entities have confirmed for the socially distant Festival:  Newburgh Vintage Emporium; the Barking Goose Bookstore, Bar and Cafe, “Personalize It,” (maker of masks, promotional products, logo’d apparel and more); “At Your Service by Christine” (Event Planner and more); Garage Sales Unlimited; Coming Around Again; Two Sparrows Homestead; Showtime Cinemas; Manley Insurance; Gomez Mill House: Middlehope Fire Department; Town of Newburgh EMS; Maximum Fitness; Mid Hudson Times; Scotty’s Pottys; John J. Arbolino Insurance; Valley Diner; Haven’s Coffee and Espresso Bar; and Rob’s Roast Coffee. This is a tentative list, said Manley.
A limited number of reusable fabric tote bags with the “Crossroads of the Northeast, Fall into Local Festival” will be available free of charge to attendees at the Information booth, while supplies last. Social distancing will be observed and masks will be required at the event.
