What can you get for $100 these days? How about providing free art classes for Seniors and veterans? Free Summer programs for kids? Free monthly art receptions for the community? a night on the town with delicious appetizers and wine? an original painting by a local artist? All of the above is what your $100 will buy at the Wallkill River School.

Tickets are on sale now for the annual 100/$100 benefit, which funds all the free programs offered by the nonprofit during the year. That ticket entitles you to your choice of one incredible original artwork or gift from a local artist. Choose from 100 high quality items; framed paintings, sculptures, artist commissions, gift baskets, jewelry, and more!

The ticket drawing is held during the party on April 27. This exclusive event will be start at 6 p.m. with local wine tastings, and hot appetizers free for ticket holders and their guests. After all the guests have arrived and made their prize selections, the ticket number calling will begin. When your ticket number is randomly called, you receive your top available choice of prize.

Prizes can be picked from a massive selection of artworks produced by local artists, such as local art icon Shawn Dell Joyce, and watercolors by award winning artist Patricia Morgan. Organizers will also will be offering gift baskets of high quality art materials, jewelry, and more. All of the prizes are on display in the gallery and on the website at Wallkill.art Tickets to Saturday’s event are available at the gallery or through the website.

One highly popular prize this year is our artist commission certificates. Recipients of these certificates will allow you to have one of our artists complete a particular commission. Have award winning watercolorist Lana Privitera complete a painting of a family heirloom of your choice, or have Dennis Fanton complete a painting of your garden! There is even the option of receiving a private painting party provided by Wallkill River School Gallery Director Liam Vogel. There are countless commissions and certificates available, to make sure there’s something for everyone (not just art collectors!)
