American Legion Auxiliary hosts fundraiser

Come out for a night of fun, as a local artist will teach you step by step how to create a beautiful lantern.

The event will take place on April 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 50 Western Avenue, Marlboro. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $45 each and includes a lantern, painting supplies, complimentary snacks, coffee, tea, soda and desert. You may BYOB.

Viebey-Sutton Post 124 American Legion
Stephen MacDougal, of the American Legion Hall, Post 124, is looking for service members who served during the Gulf War from 2 August 1990 to 30 November 1995 and Gulf War on terrorism from 11 September 2001 to Date to be Determined who left from Marlboro or Milton, NY, to have name added to war monument by the Marlboro Middle School. A DD214 is required.

Enjoy stories, songs, and instruments while learning some basic Spanish words with Ms. Angie! Prior knowledge of Spanish language is not required!

Teen Volunteer Club

Pajama Story Time and Teddy Bear Sleepover
April 11, 6:30-7 p.m.
Join us in your jammies for bedtime stories and songs! Bring a stuffed animal to sleep over in the library and pick it up on Friday to see what it did with other stuffed friends overnight! Recommended for ages 1.5 – 5. Online registration preferred at marlborolibrary.org, but walk-ins are welcome.

Graphic Novel Book Club
April 16 & 30, May 14 & 28, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Calling all graphic novel lovers! Join us this Tuesday, April 16 as we read “Roller Girl” by Victoria Jamieson. Multiple copies of the book will be available to be picked up at the library. Grab your copy, read it ahead of time, and come ready to discuss and munch on snacks. Books are selected by participants during meetings and will be posted on our website and Facebook after they’re selected. Registration preferred, walk-ins welcome. Osteo-moves- three part class at the Marlboro Library

Adults ages 55 and over! Join us at the Marlboro Library on Friday April 5, 12 and 19 at 1:30 p.m., for a series of gentle, one hour, fitness classes. These classes will be taught by an AFAA certified fitness instructor, designed for those with osteoarthritis and/or osteoporosis. Please remember to wear comfortable clothes and sneakers! (As this is a three part series, please plan on attending all three classes.)

As with any exercise program, you should consult your physician or other health care professional before starting this or any other fitness program to determine if it is right for your needs.

Book club
All are welcome to join the Book Club! On Wednesday, April 24, “Beneath a Scarlet Sky” by Mark Sullivan will be discussed. Copies are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk for those who may wish to join us in the community room at 7 p.m.
