One Woman Pastel Animal Artist Show
For Immediate Release - April 2020
Karen Miura, artist and animal communicator, will present her one woman show, Tame & Wild at Hudson Beach Glass in Beacon, New York. The show will feature pastel paintings of a variety of species from canines to bison and many others in between. The central piece, an impressive 5 foot by 4 foot painting, features two bald eagles battling in flight.
Every work displays Karen’s unique ability to comprehend the very soul of each animal subject then distill that essence and return it to life again in her paintings.
“My goal was a show featuring animals that were especially inspiring to me. I wanted to bring forth the emotions of the animals I encountered as an animal communicator. When people see my paintings, I hope they can feel and sense the animals the same way I do. I love the beautiful and odd, the strong and meek, and the myriad of their wonderful personalities, I love everything about every creature.”- Karen Miura
Karen has been creating art and communicating with animals since earliest childhood when her family lived next door to a horse farm.
Her connection with animals is apparent in her original works and portraits.
Karen’s painting of “Moochie” the pug brings a smile to everyone who sees it. Just like the real Moochie brings a smile to everyone he meets.

Karen currently teaches a dog portrait class once a month at The Museum of the Dog in Manhattan, NYC
