Candy Cane Run to bring Santa through Plattekill

On Saturday December 10, the Plattekill Fire Department will be making its Annual Candy Cane Run. Santa will be aboard a Fire Truck and making his way around the Plattekill Fire District.

The run begins at approximately 10 a.m. from Fire Station #1. If you reside along a side street or private road, please wait along the side street to see Santa For everyone’s safety, please do not approach a fire department vehicle until it comes to a complete stop.

- 10:15 a.m. Departure from Station 1 to Route 32, left in Church Street, right on Quaker Street, let on Forest Road, left on Winding Hills Road, left on Forest Road.

- Break at Plattekill Fire Department Station 2 (arriving by 10:45 a.m.)

Cronk Road, right on Madre De Cristo Road, right on Cronk Rd, right on Orchard Drive, right on New Hurley Road, right on Kingsview Road (arriving by 11:15 a.m.)

- New Hurley Road over Route 32 to Freetown Hwy, right on Cologne Avenue (arriving by 11:30 a.m.) continuing through the park.

- Route 32, left on Plattekill Ardonia Road, right on Fosler Road, right on Cotter Rd over South Street to Blossom Grove Court (arriving by 12 p.m.)

- South Street, left on Plattekill Ardonia Road, left on Old Unionville Road, right on New Unionville Road, left on Plattekill Ardonia Road, left on Huckleberry Turnpike, left on Sawyer Way (arriving by 12:30 p.m.

- Return to Plattekill Fire Dept Station #1 via Huckleberry Tok, left on Plattekill Ardonia Road, right on Route 32, left on Old Firehouse Road (arriving by 1 p.m.).

The fire department will also post a link on their Facebook Page to enable readers to track Santa’s progress. Santa will return to Plattekill later that evening and will appear at the Thomas Felton Park, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
