School Events/Information
October is National Principals Month and the Marlboro Central School District would like to recognize all our hardworking principals! We start by showing our appreciation for Ryan Lawler, principal of Marlboro High School and Debra Clinton of Marlboro Middle School and Patricia Walsh of Marlboro Elementary School. Please join us in thanking all for their strong leadership, especially during these challenging times.
Marlboro Elementary School students took advantage of the beautiful fall weather today by spending some time on the playground during recess. Even Principal Patricia Walsh, who we also thank, could not help getting in on the outdoor action on this warm, sunny day!

Amazing Homemade Apple Sauce

4 pounds assorted apples, such as Golden Delicious, Gala, Honeycrisp or McIntosh (about 8), peeled, cored and chopped
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Kosher salt
1. Combine the apples, sugar, 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a large pot. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook until the apples are exceptionally soft, 18 to 20 minutes.
2. Stir in the lemon juice and cinnamon. Let cool for 5 minutes or so, then transfer the apple mixture to a blender, filling no more than halfway. Remove the center cap from the lid and place it on the blender. Cover the lid with a folded kitchen towel to catch splatters and pulse until smooth. Alternatively, puree in the pan with an immersion blender
3. Transfer the applesauce to a bowl and refrigerate until cool, about 1 hour. Store leftover applesauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
