Marlboro’s boys’ tennis entered its match Wednesday, April 3 in Stone Ridge against Rondout with an earlier loss to Coleman and hoping for a victory over the Ganders.
And the Dukes accomplished that, winning 5-0. No results from that match are available at press time.
“We’re very inexperienced,” said Scott Hisel, Marlboro’s coach, “we’re very young.”
Thursday that inexperience came into play against New Paltz that ended with a 5-0 Huguenot victory.
Both Dukes’ doubles teams lost 6-0, 6-0, and Zachary O’Neill, the Marlboro’s third singles player, had the best showing against New Paltz, losing 3-6, 0-6. Oskar Weiss and Brady Chapman, at second singles, both lost 1-6, 0-6, to the Huguenots.
