Enforcement of plastic bag law to resume next month

The state Department of Environmental Conservation will begin enforcement of the ban on single-use plastic carry-out bags starting next month. Enforcement in many stores had come to  a halt in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.  
 
 
Curbside Crafts at Highland Library Curbside: How to draw a Rooster 
Registration is required. How to draw a rooster kits are available to be picked up through our curbside service and is available all week long until Saturday September 26. There is only 24 kits available for the week. The kit includes only the how to instructions. Please call the library at 845-691-2275 and schedule a pick up time. 

 
Curbside: Puss in Boots Craft Kit 
Registration is required. Puss in Boots Craft Kits are available to be picked up through our curbside service and is available all week long until Saturday September 26.  There is only 24 kits available for the week. Age limit: 8-13. The kit includes templates , paper and instructions. Please call the library at 845-691-2275 and schedule a pick up time. 

Curbside : Wonder Woman Bookmark 
Create a Wonder Woman Bookmark. Registration is required. Wonder Woman bookmark kits are available through our cubside service  and is available until Saturday, September 26. Bookmark kits are limited to 20 and registration is required. Please contact the library at 845-691-2275 to schedule a pick up time. 
 
The Highland Public Library is excited to announce the premiere of Checkers Library TV, our new virtual kids and family program. 
Checkers Library TV is a kids and family-friendly show that features kid’s personality and educational entertainer Checkers The Inventor and his robot sidekick, Snoozer’s. New episodes are released every month throughout the school-year as kids and parents will enjoy a variety of special visitors including medical professionals, community leaders, police officers, firefighters, and other guests in highly-produced 30-minute episodes.Science Experiments Games And Contests Trivia & Jokes Health Tips & News Interactive Features Children and families can now interact with the library right from home with Checkers Library TV. Simply visit our website and login using  the password: backtoschool.

Proper Noun, slang words, or vulgar or explicit words are not allowed.
