I have known Joe Mazzetti, John Fraino and Mark Reynolds for many years and all three of them care very much about our community.

Mark is a journalist which will put him in the cross hairs of some and hero to others, depending upon the topic being covered. Freedom of the press and expression is very precious, and sometimes we take it for granted in our noisy country.

If something newsworthy is reported wrong, a good newspaper should post a correction notice. If there is an ethics or conflict of interest concern in any municipal organization, that concern should be open and transparent to the public for which it serves.

All involved should do their best to move respectfully forward, follow the law and policies rather than trying to tear each other down and getting personal in a game of ‘gotcha.’
