Marlboro sent five athletes to the state track and field championships Friday and Saturday in Middletown, and Kaitlyn Conte, who is headed to the University of Connecticut, was second in the shot put with a throw of 38-feet and a quarter inch in D-II.

Matt Jackson, during his first varsity season, was 13th in the boys’ shot put when he covered a distance of 42-feet, 11 and a half inches.
Braxxdon Dawson, who set a school record in the 800-meter dash this spring, was 14th in the event at the state meet with a time of 1:56.63. Amarian Hughes, his teammate, ninth in the triple jump, covering 42-feet, 11 and quarter inches.

Marie Antonelli was 29th in the 800-meter dash.
