The Gardiner Library hosts a series of Yoga Nidra classes with Wendy Blair beginning on Sunday April 7 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. These Community Rest Circles are free of charge and will continue to meet on Sunday April 14 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday April 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesday April 30 from 2 to 3 p.m. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that uses a combination of intention-setting, guided body scan, breath work and imagery as gateways to reducing mental, emotional and physical tensions. Practiced consistently over time, YN provides a way to reduce stress and anxiety, and increase a sense of calm and emotional wellbeing.

Wendy Blair, LCSW-R is a holistic psychotherapist, accredited certified Emotional Freedom Technique/EFT “tapping” practitioner, and a Daring To Rest Yoga Nidra Facilitator. For questions, contact Wendy at wblair@wendyfblair.com.

All classes in the series will take place in the library community room. The community room is equipped with T-coil technology for those with compatible hearing aids and cochlear implants. For directions or further information call 255-1255 or visit gardinerlibrary.org or the library’s Facebook page.
