Would you like to hike to Awosting Falls via the more quiet, lesser known route? Join Laura Conner, Environmental Educator, on this approximately five-mile hike to discover the lovely footpath that many miss. We'll start by walking downhill on the High Peter's Kill Footpath, which features a variety of terrain, along a cliff escarpment with numerous, scenic viewpoints. For our return trip, we'll walk along the gently climbing Awosting Falls Carriage Road, past the beautiful and iconic Awosting Falls. If our timing is good, we'll witness the start of the colorful fall leaf change. This hike does include rocky, narrow sections of trail that may be challenging for some. Due to COVID protocols, the total number of participants for this program is limited to twelve individuals. All participants must wear face coverings or keep a minimum six foot distance away from others who are not part of your immediate household. Meet in the Awosting Parking Area.
