The Highland Wolfpack baseball team finished seventh at the New York Elite Baseball League 12 Summer Showdown baseball tournament, reaching the consolation finals, where they fell 8-3 to the Capital District Raiders on Sunday at the Town of Newburgh Little League Complex.
The Wolfpack opened play on Sunday morning with a 10-7 win over the New York Blackhawks.
The Wolfpack played two games on Saturday to open the tournament, losing both.
They suffered a 5-4 walk-off loss to Santos Baseball and then were defeated 11-1 by the eventual champion, the Poughkeepsie Lightning.
The Wolfpack are hosting tryouts for the fall and winter seasons on Wednesday at Tony Williams Memorial Park in Highland. Registration is at 4:45 p.m. and tryouts start at 5 p.m.
Tryouts are open to all players 13 and younger.
