Jack Provenzano, 90, of Highland, New York left us on Saturday, January 23, 2021 peacefully and surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 20, 1930 in New Orleans, Louisiana he was the son of the late Vincent and Josephine (Varruso) Williams.
On May 22, 1955 in New York City, he married the love of his life, Dolores M. Pagano. They had nearly 60 happy years together before her passing on May 20, 2015.

Jack proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 to1953. He opened Jack’s Prime Meats in 1968 on Main Street in New Paltz and the business continues to flourish to this day. After handing the reins to Dolores he continued to serve the U.S. Military as a civilian, employed by the USMA Commissary West Point New York as a Butcher.

The greatest joy of Jack’s life was being with his family. Everything he did in his life was done to ensure his family’s happiness.
Jack was the fixer of the windows, fryer of the bacon and dealer of the cards.

Survivors include his children, Laurie MacDonald and her husband, Hugh John of Plano, TX, John Provenzano and his wife, Connie of Fort Mill, SC, Donna Provenzano of New Paltz, Mark Provenzano of Highland, NY and Rob Provenzano of Highland, NY; his grandson, Bryan Provenzano and his wife, Amy of Fort Mill, SC; his granddaughter, Michelle Provenzano and her partner, Jon Dick of Fort Mill, SC; and his great grandchildren, Julia and Jack Provenzano; his brother, Ben Provenzano of MS; and many nieces and nephews.

In order to ensure the safety of Jack’s family and friends in these uncertain times, a Memorial Service in Jack’s honor will be held at a future date, as yet to be decided.

Following the Memorial, he will be buried in St. Charles Cemetery in Gardiner, New York alongside his wife, Dolores.
