On Monday, October 10, 2022, ‘Jackie Love’ McGarril, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughters by his side.
He was born July 11, 1957, in Jersey, New Jersey. He was a dedicated father of five, and a loving husband of 34 years.
He served in the US Army for six years, immediately after graduation of New Paltz High School in 1976. After returning home to his family, he began a career working for Ulster County Highway Department, which he retired from in 2020, celebrating ‘the summer of Jack’.
He leaves behind his wife, Colleen McGarril, his four daughters, Brianna and her partner Dan Carrion, Victoria and her partner Doug Bishop, Jaclyn McGarril, and Madison McGarril, his two grandchildren, Norah Oyola, and Rory Carrion, as well as his siblings, Debbie and Glen Decker, Matthew and Susan McGarril, Steve McGarril and Carla Kramer, TerriLee and John Savago, Dawn and Greg Garcia, Tom and Shelly Mundy, and Amy and Billy O’Connor.
He is predeceased by his parents and his son Nicholas LaPorto.
