Jackson “Jack” O. Burden, of Naples, FL formerly of Wallkill, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 in Florida. He was 95.

The son of the late Jackson S. and Florence Collins Burden, he was born December 2, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY.

Jack was a funeral director and former owner of Wallkill Funeral Home in Wallkill from 1973 to 1991. He was a VFW who served as a medic in the United States Army from 1943-1945. 

He was a Parishioner of St. Benedict’s Chapel in Wallkill, a life member of Wallkill Fire Department, American Legion, Knights of Pythias and Lions Club.

He is survived by sons, John S. Burden, wife Jamey Bellamy; Francis G. Burden, wife Kristin; Philip C. Burden, wife Jo Ann; Daughter Clare M. Burden, and Grandchildren Thomas Burden, Theresa Burden, Jackson O. Burden II, Joseph Burden

He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years; Clare C. Burden.
A Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday, July 3, at 1p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo, 2212 Route 44/55, Gardiner, NY.
Burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Jack will be rejoined with his wife Clare on the date of their wedding anniversary, July 3, 1948.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Lung Association
