Karen Dorothy Lobdell West of Milton, died at her home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. She was 55.
Karen was born in Newburgh, NY on August 30, 1965. She is the daughter of Mary Ann Kane Lobdell and the late Paul Lobdell who passed away on October 5, 2014.
Karen was a lifelong area resident. She graduated Marlboro High School in 1983. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marlboro. Karen worked as a Cafeteria Aid for the Marlboro School District.
Survivors include her husband Micheal West and her son Holden West, her step son Micheal Jr, her mom Mary Ann Lobdell, her 6 siblings; Cathy (Bob) Lana, Pat (Donna) Lobdell, Brett (AnnMarie) Lobdell, Scott Lobdell, Greg (Anna) Lobdell and Jodi (David) Bulson, her mother in law Helene West, brother in law Louis West and sister in law Michelle Chemoloski, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her special close friends.
If you knew Karen, you were blessed with knowing the true definitions of love, friendship and family. She held everyone she knew close to her heart, and treasured all of her relationships. Her smile and laugh would accompany her entrance into any room, along with outstretched arms to grab whatever baby was available to "love on". Is there truly any greater legacy than love, to leave behind? Karen taught us, showed us, by doing what she did best: loved immeasurably & wholeheartedly.
A mass of Christian burial was offered on Monday morning at St. Mary's Church.
