Highland Public Library had a year for the record books. A recent Gallop Poll (12/2019), showed that Americans would rather go to the library than to the movies and the Highland Library has the numbers to support that statement.

The library saw an increase of 65.4% in library visits. Book circulation increased over 22% and electronic media circulation increased 72.6% though the use of many diverse digital platforms like RBDigital and Hoopla.

“Due to the tremendous support of the community, the Highland Public Library has seen record increases in visits to the library and services our first full year in the new building. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our patrons and everyone who believed in and supported our venture. We were able to offer more programs to the community and the response has been phenomenal. We are looking forward to an even more productive year in 2020.”, says Kelsall-Dempsey, Library Director.
