The combined boys’ swimming team from Highland and Marlboro starts the postseason Friday at the OCIAA championships in Washingtonville.

The small team, with just seven swimmers, did not win a meet in the regular season, going 0-10.

Less than two weeks later, Feb. 14, three swimmers on the team will head to Montgomery and compete in the Section 9 championships at Valley Central. More team members could go the sectional meet if they qualify before that time.

Tom Wakley has qualified for the sectional championships in the 100-freestyle and the 100-backstroke. Phil Sadchikov has qualified for the sectional meet in the 200-individual medley, 100-butterfly, 500-freestyle and 100-breaststroke.

Casey Rosen has qualified for the sectional meet in the 50-freestyle, 100-butterfly and 100-breaststroke.
