Make a Christmas Craft at First Presbyterian Church

Posted

On Sunday, December 8 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. join us for a fun-filled morning making Christmas Crafts! This event is for children ages 3-12 and a light brunch will be served.
Please bring non-perishable food items for the local food pantry.

Advent Wreath Making Party
St. Mary’s Annual Advent Wreath Making Party will be held on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
A donation jar will be set out to cover the cost of all materials (wreath base, greens, candles, etc.) If you have clippers, we would appreciate you bringing a pair. We will also have our church family Christmas tree up and ready to be decorated.

A table with crafts to decorate the tree will be set up. If you desire to bring an ornament or two to put on the tree, please feel free to do so. There will be coffee and hot chocolate with some “surprise munchies”

Holiday Breakfast
Annual Winter Holiday Breakfast sponsored by the Middlehope Fire Co. Ladies’ Auxiliary will be held Sunday, Dec. 1 from 8 - 11:30 a.m. at 11 Lattintown Road.
Come and fill up on Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, etc.
Tickets are: Adults: $8; Seniors: $6 Children Ages 4-10: $5 (under 4, Free). Santa will be available for pictures. Proceeds from this breakfast will be donated to various local food pantries.

Marlboro Free Library Holiday Book Sale
The friends of the Library are holding a Holiday book sale in the center pf the library from now until January 5! They have handpicked and bundled similar books that would make great gifts for the avid reader!
All bundles are $5 each! Stop by and support your library today!

Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library wants to remind you to join us at the holiday open house and tree lighting.
There will be crafty activities for youngsters, plenty of delicious refreshments, and a special magic and puppet show by “Mrs. Santa.” It’s all a part of a Main Street celebration in collaboration with the Hamlet of Milton Association. The festivities at the library run from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 8.

Mrs. Santa arrives at 3 p.m. to entertain, and the library’s gift basket raffle drawing concludes the party.

Get ready for the Milton Library gift basket raffle! Whether you put your tickets toward one prize or four, you have the opportunity to donate to a good cause and to win valuable items. Take a chance on the “Be Our Guest,” “Child’s Play,” and/or “Game Night” baskets. There’s also a Lottery Ticket Wreath -- a very popular item in past years.
The baskets are brimful with nifty gifts, including highly valuable gift-certificates (like $400 toward Buttermilk Spa and Henry’s Restaurant, for a spa day for two). Purchase your tickets at the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library and look for the library’s table at Meet Me in Marlborough’s Holiday Extravaganza (on November 23). Raffle tickets sell for $1 each, $5 for six, and $10 for an arm’s length.
The drawing is on December 8, at the Milton Library’s holiday open house, but you need not be present to win. It’s a sure bet for putting the fun into fundraising.
